Planning
• Clearly define project goals and expectations
• Choose a method to meet your needs, timeline, and budget
• Recruit participants based on your target demographic
• Screener, recruiting, vetting, scheduling, getting them familiar with technology, ongoing support
• Create a test plan for your sessions outlining usability objectives and questions

Testing
• If in-person, provide a natural, comfortable testing environment adhereing with safety guidelines according to the CDC
• If remote, work with the participant prior to the session to get them set up with any technology needs they have
• Run a pilot session to test prototypes and timing
• During testing, make it clear to participants that they are not being tested and avoid asking leading questions

Delivery
• Analyze findings and prepare reports
• Highlight strengths and potential issues
• Communicate key messages to your team
• Make recommendations to improve user experience
